Combining my journalism background and passion for animal rights, I aim to inform, illuminate and inspire our human species to be better stewards to our Earth and all of its furry, finned and four-legged friends. There is no cage, tank or factory farm I won’t tackle to give a voice to our fellow animals. Channing Tatum is best known for his leading-man looks, but the actor is also an animal lover, who has several rescued animals, including a horse, named Smoke. The celebrity A-lister even had a pet goat, named Heather. The goat recently passed away and Tatum made a point to pay tribute to his good friend by posting a heart-warming photo of Heather with his daughter, Everly. It’s clear Heather was a special part of this family, and Tatum even lovingly refers to her as “Sweets” in the Instagram caption.
It’s pretty clear why Tatum and his family loved Heather as much as most of us adore our cats and dogs. After all, goats are great! They love to play, cuddle, and they make awesome friends. It’s also wonderful to see a celebrity helping to spread a message of compassion for farm animals, who often know nothing but suffering in their short lives. Rest in peace, Heather. We know you’ll be missed.

Another reason for me to love Channing
I wish I could have a goat companion.
How about how sweet this photo is with his daughter and their 4 legged family member? I thought that on its own was beautiful.
