Cows, like most mammals, share incredibly strong bonds with their babies. Just look at the mother cow and her baby calf in this video. The baby calf cuddles and kisses his mama for a solid three minutes. Now, that’s a lot of love!
Sadly, most cows never get to experience this affection as millions of them spend their lives in the cruel dairy industry. In order to produce milk for human consumption, mother cows are separated from their calves within days or even hours after birth. More heartbreaking is the fact that their babies are often hauled off for slaughter.
The moment in this video, however, shows us that the love between a cow and her baby is just as powerful as that of a human mother and child. Seeing this family, can we truly say that life in a dairy farm is a happy one for these animals?
