The resilience of animals should never be underestimated. With a little bit of compassion and care, it seems that there is nothing that our four-legged friends can’t overcome. Just take the story of Pinnochio the cat for example.
Pinnochio was found abandoned in an airport with an extreme eye infection. Although he was only a few months old, this cat had been through more trauma than most experience in their entire lives. But thankfully, a kind person stepped in to save Pinnochio and his life changed forever. This poor kitten had to have both eyes removed due to the infection, but through it all he never lost his strong spirit.
With the loving care of a foster parent, Pinnochio’s strength and confidence grew, however, his life took a 180 for the better once Jiminy Cricket came around. Like Pinnochio, Jiminy was abandoned as a kitten. Clearly, these two were destined for one another as Jiminy stepped in to be Pinnochio’s seeing-eye brother.
With Jiminy by his side, Pinnochio can get around just like any other cat! Thanks to the compassion of the people who saved him and the unconditional love from his brother, Pinnochio is now a happy and healthy adult cat. Isn’t it amazing what can come of a little kindness!
