Do you ever get a feeling when you know something really big is about to happen for you? You might not be exactly sure what it is yet, but there is that undeniable excitement and anticipation that just tells you somethings going to change really soon. Well, for these little fawns, their day just came!
PAWS Wildlife Center specializes in rehabilitating orphaned fawns in a manner that ensures they will be able to return the wild once they grow strong enough. This year, the center took in five fawns who came to them in the summer months, found all alone with no one to care for them. By maintaining minimal direct contact with the deer, the PAWS staff were able to keep them safe and well fed, while making sure they did not become dependent on humans for care. After watching these five fawns grow healthy and strong – from a distance – it is finally time for the deer to be released back into the wild!
After a few seconds of hesitation … they’re off! Enjoy your wild home little deer!
I just hope they live long enough to enjoy the free life. Hunting of these beautiful creatures should be forbidden!!!
