A faux meat company recently tried to grab Taco Bell’s attention in a creative way at the Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim, Calif.
The company, Beyond Meat, set up a mock Taco Bell pop-up, serving tacos made with vegan chicken and beef. It hopes the corporation will one day use their vegan meat products on the menu.
One goal of the event was to flood Taco Bell’s social media channels. At the expo, visitors took photos in front of a red and purple backdrop and uploaded them using the tags @tacobell, @BeyondMeat, and #GoBeyond.
“We see ourselves as a meat company that makes all its products from plants. We believe that there’s a better way to feed the planet. We don’t want customers to have to make sacrifices to enjoy the things they love,” explained Co-Founder Brent Taylor to Foodbeast.
Beyond Meat’s overall mission is to create mass-market solutions that perfectly replace animal protein with plant protein.
As long as Beyond Meat is using organic non-GMO ingredients in their products Im fine with it!!!
It would an AVANT GARDE MOVE, AS WELL AS A HEALTHY AND RIGHT CHOICE! NOTHING TO LOOSE ONLY WIN WIN SITUATION
Great idea!!!!
