They’re can also be great companions, demonstrating compassion towards their human caretakers and looking to humans to do the same. Yet, too often, humanity fails pigs, treating them as nothing more than meat. The abuse that farm animals endure is unimaginable and should be illegal. But in many places, animals like Popcorn the pig are considered to be unworthy of even the most basic animal rights.
When Popcorn the pig was rescued from slaughter, he was filthy and apprehensive, having never experienced human kindness.
But after five years of living in peace and dignity at Edgar’s Mission Farm Sanctuary, he has grown into quite clean and outgoing character!
Edgar’s Mission Farm Sanctuary is a farm animal rescue, located in Victoria, Australia. They have worked tirelessly to save the lives of hundreds of Australia’s abused and neglected farm animals, saving them from slaughter and other terrible fates.
