Rescued Bear Who Spent Over 3 Years in a Tiny Cage Next to a Restaurant is Finally Able to Run Free (VIDEO)

As animal lovers, the concept that animals are highly emotional and intelligent beings is not a very hard one to grasp. We find it safe to assume that animals take pleasure in many of the things humans do. They enjoy laying out in the sun, playing with friends, and obviously, living in comfort with enough food and water. Sadly, not everyone can wrap their heads around this simple concept, instead, treating animals like objects or props.

For three and a half years, Gjina, the bear in the video above, was forced to live in a tiny cage next to a restaurant in Albania. Not only did Gjina have zero interaction with other bears, but her cage offered no protection from the sun, wind, or rain. Unsurprisingly, Gjina became depressed and spent her days mostly lying down. Thankfully, Four Paws International was eventually able to rescue this poor creature and relocate her to a bear sanctuary. Now Gjina can run freely like a regular bear and enjoy the feeling of grass under her paws and the comfort of shade. You can just tell how happy she is!
