Even animals know how to have fun in the sun! When the heat is on, it’s part of the job at Elephant Nature Park, located in Thailand, to provide their resident pachyderms with ways to beat the heat. This short but sweet video captures footage of two elephant best buds keeping cool underneath a sprinkler.
According to a sanctuary volunteer, the elephants in the video, named Yindee and Pornsawan, are totally inseparable. Pornsawan has been dubbed Elephant Nature Park’s resident nanny and she never lets baby Yindee out of her sight. It’s not so different from how we love going to the beach with our friends during the summer months — only without the mud pile.
Knowing the many threats that Asian elephants face in the wild, it is wonderful to see these rescued buds safe and sound in their sanctuary home.
