Saving the earth has never looked or sounded so good.

Rapper Lil Dicky has released a new song, entitled ‘Earth Day’ which features a star-studded ensemble joining forces to raise awareness about environmental protection. The video begins with news footage of climate-change related news stories, then jumps to the rapper himself being picked on by a group of little kids.

During the altercation, a trash can is knocked over, spilling garbage into the streets. Another child finds a mystical ivy-green book among the litter. When he opens it, the tome is filled with beautiful, lush greenery, and what happens next is a stupendous, imaginative, digitally-animated ode to Mother Earth.

I could describe it in more detail, but you really just need to watch it for yourself. The song is catchy, witty, and gorgeously animated.

If that’s not enough, the cast is a who’s who of talent, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Brendon Urie, Wiz Khalifa, Snoop Dogg, Kevin Hart, Adam Levine, Miley Cyrus, Lil Jon, Rita Ora, Katy Perry, Ed Sheeran, John Legend, The Backstreet Boys (really), and Korean rapper Psy of ‘Gangnam Style‘ fame.

With the earth in massive danger over man-made climate change, it’s incredible to see celebrities using their talents and influence for the most worthy cause. Dire warnings and infectious positivity are the one-two punch we need to fight climate change.
