Edgar’s Mission Farm Sanctuary is a farm animal sanctuary seated in the Macedon Mountains, in Victoria, Australia. These peaceful 153 acres provide a safe haven for 250 of Australia’s luckiest farm animals. In addition to providing a safe home for farm animals, Edgar’s Mission also carries out amazing rescues.
When the Edgar’s team got a call about a sheep that was abandoned on a property next to a busy road in Melbourne, they immediately jumped to her rescue. The poor little lady had been left behind at an abandoned property and had been on her own for five weeks. The trauma of this experience left the sheep too nervous to let anyone near her.
Luckily, the folks at Edgar’s were smart enough to bring one of their resident sheep along to help. Timmy the sheep is quite a handsome fellow, with a sweet and calm disposition. Recognizing one of her own kind right away, the shy little ewe warmed right up to him and allowed the team to lead her into the rescue vehicle.
The kind folks at the sanctuary have named her Tina, and she can now look forward to a life without fear as she is allowed to live out her life in peace and dignity.
