Humans can only last three minutes without air, three days without water and three weeks without food. If you’re ever stuck in an emergency situation, like getting stranded while hiking, keep these things in mind. Up to 60 percent of the human adult body is water, that’s why the body can’t go long without it. Dogs have a similar timeline though they can go a little longer without food than humans. Unfortunately the sweet Pit Bull in this video, June, had to find this out the hard way.
June was abandoned by her guardians when they moved and was left tied up without any food or water. Luckily, she was able to survive off of rainwater and whatever was edible in her vicinity, until Vet Ranch got to her. Seems like no matter how “domesticated” an animal is, when put to the test, they can tap into those living-in-the-wild survival skills!
Despite experiencing such cruelty, June remained sweet throughout her journey to recovery. Just goes to show, a little TLC goes a long way.
