Emma, the gorgeous dog in this video from Vet Ranch, is a born survivor.
Before undergoing treatment with the Vet Ranch team, she was suffering a diaphragmatic hernia, meaning that because there was a hole in the muscle that usually separates the lungs from the abdomen, her intestines had been pushed up into her chest. This severely restricted her breathing. Her foster family had also been charged $2,000 to amputate her rear leg and fix her front leg. Because the family could not afford to pay this fee, so Vet Ranch stepped in.
This video details the various surgical procedures she had to go through to become the healthy, happy girl she is today.
