A Dyslexic Boy Finds Confidence in Reading with the Help of His Rescue Dog

Roan’s journey into the world of reading has been anything but ordinary. Battling dyslexia, he faced immense challenges, feeling overwhelmed and frustrated with every attempt to decipher words on a page. However, his rescue dog, Sammy, emerged as his guiding light.

When Roan’s mother, Ruth Gentry, noticed her son’s difficulties adapting to school, she knew they needed something more than conventional Support. That’s when Sammy, a rescue dog with a heart-wrenching backstory of his own, entered their lives. Sammy’s journey mirrored Roan’s resilience and determination. From being abandoned and gravely ill to becoming the cheerful presence that lifted Roan’s spirits, Sammy proved that love knows no bounds. Despite facing his own physical challenges, Sammy remained by Roan’s side.

That was me just 6 months ago when my son was refusing to go to school, throwing books across the room as all he wanted to do was read. He has dyslexia and I felt so helpless on how to help him as his mother. You are not alone. I feel for you. It can get better but you have to advocate. Sadly, I know this opportuntiy is not open to every child, but I wish it could be.
