There are so many opinions out there as to what we should eat when and why. Let’s look at a method of eating lighter in the early hours, then progressing to more dense food as the day goes on.
According to Kimberly Snyder CN and Natalia Rose CCN, the best way to eat is light to heavy. This means that more easily digested foods are consumed first, while denser foods are consumed later on in the day. Both famed dietitians also claim that implementing proper food combining into your daily diet, on top of light to heavy eating, helps with weight loss, skin conditions, constipation, and many other ailments.
Here is a list of recipes you could potentially have while properly combining foods and eating light to heavy.
Blend a Glowing Green Juice, Green Lemonade, or Beginner Green Smoothie.
Munch on a Chili, Mint, and Bean Shoot Salad or sip any of these Raw Blender Soups.

Whip up some Roasted Sweet Potatoes with Shallots and Crispy Kale Ribbons or an Early Summer Light Veggie Sauté.

Fix some crudités with Mason Jar Salsa.

Start your day right with lemon water and then a light smoothie or a meal of fruit, and you’ll keep your body cleansed and prepared for larger meals towards the end of the day. Since the body is like a freeway, putting in dense foods into it first thing in the morning (wheat, potatoes) blocks anything from getting out of it, especially the undesirable waste material. Blockage of this kind causes gastrointestinal issues and other gut health problems that can easily be avoided if you eat light to heavy and follow proper food combining rules. Reclaim your health and give this method a try!
