Fashion designer Stella McCartney is passionate about spreading the message that no animals have to be harmed to make beautiful clothing or accessories. She’s spoken out against fur, leather, and has stated her desire to work with more designers on sustainability efforts. McCartney is one of the biggest advocates for animals in the fashion world, and now she’s teaming up with a force in the music industry for a sustainable collection!

Stella McCartney and singer Taylor Swift recently announced their collaboration for a fashion line inspired by Taylor Swift’s new album, Lover.

In one of her Instagram announcements, McCartney described it as “sustainable.” The collection will be available for a limited time and will incorporate the colors, tones, and even lyrics from Swift’s latest album, which will be released today, August 23rd.

The collection will also draw inspiration from “vintage graffiti, band T-shirts, and nostalgic memorabilia.” It will include tie-dyed tees, sweatshirts, airbrushed jackets, totes, and a reusable water bottle. Jerseys in the collection are made from sustainable organic cotton. A handbag in the line is made with Eco Alter-Nappa leather and a bomber jacket is made from sustainable viscose.

If you’re a Swiftie or are just excited about some sustainable fashion, you can order items from the collection on McCartney’s website or shop at her standalone stores in New York and London. Swift will also be hosting a pop-up shop in New York City called “The Lover Experience” this weekend, from August 23rd to the 25th.

This collaboration gives us hope that other artists may be inspired to work with eco-conscious designers like Stella McCartney, or even better that other designers will begin to adapt environmentally friendly ways of designing and producing merchandise.
