Skrmetti, justices expressed Support for Tennessee’s ban on gender-affirming care for trans youth — a law that allegedly discriminates based on sex assigned at birth. But this isn’t just about one law.

If the Court weakens protections against sex-based discrimination, it could roll back rights for everyone — including cis women, LGBTQ+ people, and anyone needing medical care that doesn’t align with outdated gender norms.
