Adriana Smith, a mother and nurse from Georgia, was declared brain-dead after suffering a severe medical emergency just nine weeks into pregnancy. But instead of allowing her family to say goodbye, doctors placed her lifeless body on life Support — not for her, but to keep a fetus alive. Why? Because Georgia’s abortion ban allegedly threatens hospitals with prosecution if they end a pregnancy, even when the patient is dead.
Adriana has now been on life Support for over 3 months. Her body, unable to consent, is being used as an incubator — something her own mother calls “torture.” Experts say the fetus is already showing signs of serious complications. Yet the hospital still plans to perform a C-section once the body reaches 32 weeks. All while the family drowns in mounting medical bills.
Sign the petition now to overturn Georgia’s inhumane abortion law.
