1. Black Women’s Blueprint

The Black Women’s Blueprint focuses on putting Black women and girls’ issues at the forefront. They create “blueprints” in areas that lack their voices, like healthcare, education, and the economy. In the wake of COVID-19, the organization launched the Sistas Van, which is traveling across NYC providing Support services like grocery delivery, crisis counseling, reproductive aid, and more to underserved communities.

Black Women’s Blueprint now lives inside Restore Forward. When Black Women’s Blueprint began, it sought to fill a need for spaces and services designed by and for Black women and survivors to heal from trauma and violence. Having advanced these goals and navigated momentous change, we recognize that to sustain and grow, we must build on the learnings of our past and transition to a future where Black women can live lives of sovereignty and dignity and change the course and discourse around power.

We provide health and holistic healing programs that invite individuals into what it means to heal within their historical, cultural, and political context while helping them access the personal agency to access what is possible in their lives and relationships when they begin to show up as their fully embodied selves. We operate as a lifeline for survivors of gender-based violence and provide birth education and holistic care to persons needing maternal health.

2. In Our Own Voice National Black Women’s Reproductive Justice Agenda

Our eight strategic partners are Black Women for Wellness, Black Women’s Health Imperative, New Voices for Reproductive Justice, SisterLove, Inc.
