With the popularity of the plant-based food space to growing consumer interest in cruelty-free fashion and cosmetics, opportunities for vegan businesses are popping up left and right these days. Conscious consumerism is making waves across all industries, and as people learn about the health, animal, and environmental impact of their various choices, they’re turning to better alternatives … and with 66 percent of global consumers and 73 percent of millennials willing to pay more for sustainable goods, profit and purpose are no longer considered mutually exclusive.
There is certainly an endless amount of options if you decide you want to dedicate your career to creating a sustainable, vegan business, but it can be difficult to know where to start. This is exactly the problem that Victoria Moran hopes to solve through her revolutionary Main Street Vegan Academy Program.
Victoria has been vegan for over three decades and has dedicated her career to helping people eat plant-based themselves and remove cruelty from every aspect of their lives. But she does much much more than tell people why they should go vegan and how to do it.
In a recent episode of the #EatForThePlanet with Nil Zacharias podcast, Victoria explains the philosophy behind her Main Street Vegan Academy program, which works to train and certify Vegan Lifestyle Coaches and Educators. She believes you don’t have to abandon the skills or focus of your prior career to chase a “dream job,” rather you can learn to apply that knowledge and expertise to help further your interests, be it in animal advocacy, plant-based food, vegan fashion or really anything!
In this conversation, Victoria shares success stories from her former students, including Kat Mendenhall, who is making vegan cowboy boots, and Michaela Grob of Riverdel Cheese. She also gets into more about her plans for the academy and her own endeavors, such as an upcoming film that is sure to flip our social relationship with animals on its head.
Victoria is on a mission to create a more compassionate world, one person at a time, and she is doing this by teaching and empowering people from all walks of life to follow their dreams and make a positive impact!
