Two sanitation workers, or bin men as they are called in the UK, were doing their essential duty when someone alerted them to a deer in need of help and they jumped to the rescue! The two kind men were told by a concerned woman that there was a deer stuck upside down in the bottle bank. They are already working during these difficult times, but that didn’t stop them from going above and beyond!
The woman had been putting her empty bottles in recycling bins when she noticed the deer and was unsure about how to help. Fortunately, the two men were kind enough to help out.
The Director of waste operations at Exeter City Council says: “They were quick to help out and that sums up the attitudes of our refuse and recycling workers who continue to carry out their duties during these difficult times.”
The woman who asked them for help also sent a kind email to the city council thanking the two men for being “amazing” and rescuing the deer.
They definitely deserve some praise for jumping to the rescue of an animal in need!
