Pigs are remarkably intelligent and emotional creatures who form sincere social bonds. Their mental capacity is so advanced that they are often said to have the intelligence comparable to that of a three-year-old human. Scientists have stated that pigs have the emotional ability to empathize, and videos of pigs comforting each other in times of distress, such as on a factory farm or slaughterhouse truck, prove that pigs are far more advanced and complex than most people perceive them to be.
In the above video, we see further proof that pigs are intelligent and empathetic with meaningful social bonds. We witness the disturbing scene from a pig slaughter operation, and as one pig struggles against the fate of merciless butchering, another pig rushes to the rescue! Squealing and running toward the killers, who jump in fear, there is no doubt that the pig is trying to save the life of his dear friend.
This video, although difficult to watch, shows what happens to intelligent and emotional pigs across the globe each and every day. Many people insist on reducing the worth of these beautiful animals to nothing more than a commodity, so please make sure to share this video and encourage others to see all animals as someones not somethings.

We’d better look at farm animals in a different way.
.. and for a brief moment, this pig was a hero. Even though it likely didn\’t end with either in a sanctuary.. you could see them get together and next to each other after one was saved. Touching. How can you not see this as human-like? These are sensitive intelligent animals, like your dog or cat. Would you eat them as well? It takes a truly callous person to watch this and not be moved. Your taste for bacon comes with bad health and some bad karma, friends. You are better without.
