Stubborn Dachshund Goes Viral for Demanding Early Dinner

A senior dachshund named Lady has become an internet sensation after a video capturing her insistence on an early dinner went viral on social media. The clip, posted on TikTok under the username jaymiwilliamson, shows the 11-year-old rescue dog jumping on the bed and howling as her owner attempts to discourage her behavior. However, Lady remains defiant, persistently barking to express her hunger.

Accompanied by the caption “When your dachshund is hangry and wants an early dinner,” the video has garnered widespread attention, accumulating over 1.4 million views and 159,200 likes on the platform. Lady’s human revealed in the comments section that they have adjusted their dinner time to 4 p.m. to accommodate her demands, even though she continues to exhibit this behavior daily, regardless of having eaten.

Dachshunds, renowned for their stubborn nature, have a history rooted in hunting and chasing badgers independently. This instinctual independence may contribute to their resistance to following human commands. Additionally, these diminutive dogs are known for their disproportionately loud barks relative to their size, a trait that varies among individuals and can be influenced by socialization.
