A convent has become a loving home for one former shelter dog! The nuns at the Community of the St. John Baptist in New Jersey adopted the pup from a local animal rescue. Jennie, or “Sister Jennifer” as she is affectionately referred to, now has a loving home where she enjoys observing the convent’s guests and napping during chapel services. The TikTok account @nunsenseforthepeople shared a video showing the rescue dog in her new home.
@nunsenseforthepeople We have six chapel services a day, and Jennie the Convent dog is so devout she attends them all. (Unless she is otherwise occupied by napping on her chair.) #convent #episcopal #anglican #nuntok #nuntokisthebest #genx #dogtok #conventdog #episcopup #realnun #prayer #monasticlife
In the video, Jennie is shown attending a chapel service. Text on the video reveals that she enjoys attending the services, which take place multiple times a day. She even counts the nuns to make sure they are all there!
The rescue dog is not the only animal to reside with the nuns at the convent. A cat named Clara lives there as well. The nuns also previously cared for a pony who needed a good home. TikTok viewers love seeing Jennie in her home. One video of the pup currently has over 181,000 likes on TikTok.
