Watch Shelter Dog See New Home for First Time!

A shelter dog named Emery spent over a year at an Ohio-based rescue waiting for a home of her very own. While rescue staff at Cabin Critters Rescue did an amazing job caring for Emery (then known as Elvira), she was overlooked by potential adopters for over a year. Fortunately, the shelter dog did eventually get a happy ending.

Amy Farnsworth wanted to adopt a shelter dog after her previous two rescue pups had passed away. When she brought Emery home, Farnsworth captured the moment in a TikTok video that she shared to her account @amyf652. 

In the video, Emery can be seen cautiously exploring her new house. Eventually, the shelter dog settles in and takes a much-deserved nap! The video received over 15,000 likes on TikTok. Viewers agreed that seeing Emery settle in was “heartwarming” and were excited that the shelter dog will finally get to enjoy having a home of her own!
