Petition: Protect the World’s Smallest Porpoises from Going Extinct

Vaquitas are cousins with dolphins and are the smallest porpoises on the planet. They’re also incredibly rare, as it is estimated that there are less than ten still in existence! Recently, however, a new threat has emerged for the Vaquita as fisheries have been allowed to participate in the captive-bred trade of totoaba fish. This opens up the doors for wild-caught totoaba, which will be caught by the industry using gillnets, and which vaquita can become entangled in. Please sign this petition to pressure the Biden Administration to protect this rare and beautiful mammal!
