A Missouri family trusted a local petsitter, found through the Nextdoor app, to care for their dogs Rosie and Violet while away on vacation. What allegedly happened next is deeply disturbing. According to authorities, the petsitter allegedly struck Rosie, a five-year-old, 13-pound Yorkie, seven times and allegedly banged her on the floor around ten times. Blood was found at the scene. Veterinarians discovered internal bleeding, and Rosie died from her injuries.
The petsitter has since been charged with animal cruelty, yet neighbours report she is allegedly still advertising pet care services online. No animal should suffer at the hands of someone entrusted to protect them. Sign the petition now and demand that Missouri authorities shut down any pet business run by someone charged with animal cruelty. Animals deserve far better. Sign the petition now.
