Raccoons are highly intelligent beings who are not that different from us — they even (adorably) wash some of their food before eating it. But one couple decided instead of admiring adorable raccoons, they would film themselves torturing one.

In the video, one of the perpetrators can be seen pinning down the poor animal with a garden rake. The raccoon is clearly suffering and in pain. Then, the other perpetrator brutally hits their head with a hammer. But somehow, it gets worse — they ultimately kill the animal by stabbing them with a sword. Despite all this, the judge barely gave them a slap on the wrist!
