Petition: Demand Justice for 54 Abandoned Dogs Found Soaking Wet and Neglected

This summer near Chicago, 54 tiny dogs — mostly Maltese mixes — were dumped at a dog park, left soaking wet and desperate for help. Without rescue, they faced starvation, illness, and death.

Thankfully, they’ve now found safety in local shelters. But the horror doesn’t end there. After months of investigation, authorities uncovered even more neglected animals in the suspects’ “uninhabitable” home. Nearly 100 charges of animal cruelty have been filed.

The pain these dogs endured points to a far bigger problem: possible links to puppy mills and ruthless breeding. We must ensure the perpetrators never own animals again.
