Meet Peach, the miniature dachshund who’s rewriting the rules for dogs, all thanks to her feline companions. While she may resemble a dog, Peach’s upbringing among cats has shaped her into something entirely different.
Parent Ashley Berken shared the remarkable story of Peach, who was adopted into a household already populated by three cats: Ducky, Mr. Big, and Rufio. Despite the initial differences, Peach found an instant connection with Rufio, the tuxedo cat, who was just a few weeks older. But it wasn’t just Rufio; all three cats played a crucial role in Peach’s upbringing.
Berken describes how the cats have formed a tight-knit bond with Peach, even engaging in playful wrestling matches. They eagerly await Peach’s return home, forming what Berken affectionately calls their “little gang.” Through these interactions, Peach has absorbed feline mannerisms and behaviors, to the point where Berken jokes that Peach has no “dog bone” left in her body.
A viral TikTok video from March 10 showcases Peach cuddled up with her feline companions, preparing for a nap. But Peach isn’t just lounging around like a typical dog; she’s fully immersed in the cat lifestyle. She plays fetch with Rufio, snuggles with all the kitties, and even climbs the cat tree to relax in the hammock.

Berken chuckles as she recalls a viewer pointing out that Peach’s yawn resembles that of a cat, highlighting just how deeply integrated Peach has become within her feline family. And the comments on the video suggest that Peach’s story isn’t unique; it seems cats and dogs alike can pick up habits from each other.
