A convicted animal abuser who was banned last year from keeping dogs has been reportedly exposed as being involved in a terrifying and cruel Scottish dog fighting cult.

The man, Anthony Holloway, is an urban hunter who has now been revealed as a key player in the cruel running of underground dog fighting, according to a recent investigation. Holloway was found to distribute ‘match reports’ after the bloody fights and trains his own dogs in small steel cages near his home in Dumbarton.

An investigation by the Daily Record revealed that Holloway trained pit bulls and other dogs in his “Roc Red” stable to be killers. He used and abused badgers and foxes to train the dogs to fight.

A source who sent photos and a ‘match report’ to the Daily Record said, “People like Holloway cannot stop themselves from showing off, which often involves trophy photos of their dogs ripping foxes and badgers apart. But he has gone further than most and has faced off his animals against other dogs at ultra-secret fight meets in the UK and Ireland.”

The source went on to say that he is connected to some of the most notorious dog fighters in England, Daily Record reported.

“It is normal for match reports to be written up, just like reports from boxing matches, only the loser often ends up dead.”

Photos reportedly revealed that Holloway used cruel and common fighting dog training techniques, including canine treadmills and “break sticks” to pry open a dog’s mouth if it is locked on their rival’s neck.

Last June, Holloway was given a light four-year ban on keeping animals after he was found guilty of using dogs to hunt foxes and badgers. However, he only got a 270-hour community payback and the ownership restriction despite prosecutors seeking a life ban.

Dogs were seen in photos with blue anesthetic liquid on their faces after suffering serious cuts during fights. They use and abuse these dogs and patch them up like this after fights because taking them to a veterinarian could lead them to get caught. Investigators believe that Holloway is responsible for the death and serious disfigurement of many dogs.

The Scottish SPCA is encouraging anyone with information on any persons in Scotland known to be involved in animal fighting to call their confidential animal helpline on 03000 999 999.

Animal abuse is more prevalent than many may think. According to PetPedia, every 60 seconds, an animal suffers from abuse, with more than 65 percent being dogs. More than 10 million animals die from abuse every year in the US alone, not including the livestock bred for consumption, who also suffer immense abuse. Animal abuse happens everywhere and is a serious issue. We need more laws to protect animals and hold abusers accountable. Sign this petition to demand all states make all animal abuse a felony now!

Also, sign this petition asking that they step up and ban posts that can contribute to dogfighting, such as selling dogs or giving them away for free!
