“I’m Not Your Daddy” Laughter as Cane Corso Refuses to Play with Puppies

Cane Corso dogs are a type of Italian Mastiff that are traditionally kept as guard dogs. Intelligent and loyal, Corsi thrive in active households. Recently, one Cane Corso has cracked up the internet with his refusal to play with a litter of Dogue de Bordeaux puppies.

Posted to the TikTok account @acecorso, the video starts by showing a litter of light brown Dogue de Bordeaux puppies playing. One older Dogue de Bordeaux, who appears to be the litter’s mother, can be seen interacting with the young pups. As the camera pans across, a large black Cane Corso dog can be seen sitting a healthy distance away from the puppies. He looks unsure about their antics. When one puppy comes up to him, he jerks back appearing startled. He then gently moves toward the puppies, fending them off and asserting his dominance. Unbothered, the puppies walk away from the large dog. 

Viewers were amused by the Cane Corso’s behavior. “I’m not your daddy”, commented TikTok user Quanita. Emma Smith wrote “Canecorso AKA The Bouncer”. The funny video has been liked over 70,000 times on the social media platform.
