Magnus is the therapy dog of the year! This sweet story recently went viral of a man named Brian Benson who was admitted to the ER for chest pains and trouble breathing. Benson was kept for three days to run tests, monitor his heart, and observe his condition. Thankfully, because Magnus is her service dog, he was allowed to stay with him.
“Having him there helped not only me, but he also calmed my daughters as well,” Benson said in his Instagram post.
“Thankfully he was allowed to stay with me 24/7 because he is also my service dog. He did exactly what he does best; kept me relaxed and took my mind off the current situation. He knows when to cuddle and when to get a little “goofy.” He made the medical staff smile and also kept my girls calm. I love this dog more than he will ever know. ❤️” he added.
Unfortunately, the man found out that he has a condition called cardiomyopathy which is likely linked to a family history of heart disease and heart attacks.
“However I am extremely lucky and grateful for so many things; friends, family and of course my boy, Magnus.”
