When a junkyard worker in Asheville, North Carolina found a little cat inside a car that was scheduled to be crushed, he rescued her in the nick of time. However, he was not sure what to do with the stray feline. Luckily, his partner works for Brother Wolf Animal Rescue nearby. So, after his shift, he took the little cat to the rescue to be looked at. The cat, named Lilly, was treated for dehydration at the rescue.
Luckily, Lilly’s human was soon found. He had contacted the junkyard while frantically looking for her. Soon, the cat was reunited with her human. Brother Wolf Animal Rescue also offered to microchip Lilly free of charge. They also vaccinated and spayed her.
While this story has a happy ending, not all missing animals are reunited with their people. It is always important to ensure that both dogs and cats are microchipped and outfitted with tags and a collar.
