How to Prepare Mimosa Pizza Twists [Vegan, Gluten-Free]
- Preheat oven according to the directions your dough requires.
- Cut your dough into strips about two inches wide and six inches long.
- In a small bowl cream together all of the ingredients for the filling. Spoon the filling down the middle of each strip so that it's just one long thin line.
- Next, begin twisting the sides of one strip over to form a twist. Don't worry if some of the filling comes out, just push it back in with your fingers or a spoon. Repeat for each strip.
- Bake them according to the directions for your dough. Remove from the oven and allow the twists to cool.
- While the twists are cooling, mix together the vanilla, champagne and orange zest for the icing.
- Slowly whisk in the powdered sugar until you've achieved your desired consistency.
- Drizzle this over the twists and top them with cinnamon and extra orange zest if you're feeling fancy.
