Ingredients You Need for Baked Yam Fries With Spicy Hummus [Vegan, Gluten-Free]

To Make the Fries:

  • 4 large yams or sweet potatoes, washed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

To Make the Spicy Hummus:

  • 1 1/2 cups cooked garbanzo beans, rinsed
  • 1 tablespoon tahini
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt

How to Prepare Baked Yam Fries With Spicy Hummus [Vegan, Gluten-Free]

To Make the Fries:

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F and line a baking tray with foil.
  2. Chop potatoes into matchsticks and toss with olive oil and seasoning in a large bowl and spread out in an even layer on tray and bake for 15 minutes. Then remove from oven and toss a little bit then return to oven and bake for 15 to 25 more minutes until crispy. Remove from oven and season with more salt and pepper to taste.

To Make the Spicy Hummus:

  1. Combine all the ingredients for hummus in a small food processor or blender and pulse until smooth.
