Figs have a mild taste, so pair 'em with a few other fruits and some yogurt to add a bit of zing to your smoothie.

Ingredients

  • 3 small figs, quartered
  • 1 peach, stone removed and chopped
  • 1 frozen banana, chopped
  • 250ml (1 cup) plain soy yogurt
  • 2 tsp chia seeds
  • a handful of spinach (optional)

Preparation

  1. Place everything in the blender and blitz till silky smooth.
  2. Add some spinach to make this into a green monster.

Want to try something awesome? I made it the other day... into a cup of hot oatmeal I stirred in a tablespoon of almond butter and a tablespoon of fig preserves...delicious!

There's my answer to my question this morning about what smoothie to make! I have Calimyrna Figs, organic frozen peaches and Chia seeds. I'll add coconut water for good measure! Thanks for the yummy tip!
