Pristine pet shops and the idea of getting an adorable puppy with no prior history is alluring to some people, but there are so many better reasons to adopt a companion animal! Rescue animals are just as fun and lovable as any other, but sadly, because of negative stereotypes against shelter animals, volunteers often have a hard time finding these animals forever homes. It gets even more difficult to persuade people to adopt animals who have debilitating conditions. These truths, while still upsetting, make this story even more amazing!
The sweet senior pup in this video has been paralyzed for years to the point that her family no longer felt they could care for her. Luckily, the great folks over at the non-profit organization, SNARR Northeast (Special Needs Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation) were able to find this lovable dog a foster family!
This is a new situation for both parties, so for now, this senior pup is traveling by sled. We’re sure that this family will have a more permanent solution up and running in no time! What’s important is that this dog is getting the love and care she deserves!
