When the amazing Hope For Paws team received a call about a stray dog who was living under a car, they quickly came to the rescue. Although they had been warned that the pup was afraid of humans, they didn’t let that deter their efforts – after all, rescuing and rehabilitating scared, injured dogs is their specialty!
As anticipated, the matted pup, named Benji, put up quite the fight with rescuers. We don’t blame him – after a life on the streets, a dog’s gotta be tough! When the team first approached him, he bolted straight towards a busy intersection. They quickly ran after him, knowing Benij’s life depended on it.
Eventually, they were able to get him on a leash and escort him to safety. After a little TLC – a nice scrub-down, a shave, and lots of snuggles – Benji’s barks soon transformed into smiles and snuggles!
