Rosa the pig was a breeding sow who spent her life confined in a gestation crate. Her life, like other pigs raised in cruel factory farms, consisted entirely of cement and cold, hard steel. Even the experience of motherhood was stripped of its love, as her crate was designed to limit physical contact with her piglets. Rosa never got the chance to raise her babies, but had to suffer through having them taken from her over and over again.
After living in such a cruel environment, one might expect that a pig like Rose would have a hard time trusting people. But the good people at Farm Sanctuary know how resilient animals can be – especially when they are given the love and care they deserve. Here we see Rosa getting utterly spoiled! Hey, after living in a gestation crate, she should be given all the pampering in the world!
