    This mushroom hummus toast is a twist on your usual breakfast. It’s savory, filling, and so easy to make!

    Ingredients You Need for Mushroom Hummus Toast [Vegan]

    For the Bread:

    • 2 slices sourdough bread, or any of your choice ($0.30)

    For the Toppings:

    • 2 tablespoons hummus
    • 1 teaspoon olive oil
    • 2-3 whole brown button mushrooms
    • 1/2 teaspoon thyme
    • 1/2 teaspoon rosemary
    • 1 teaspoon liquid aminos
    • Sea salt and pepper, to taste
    • Garnishes, optional
    • Microgreens
    • Hot sauce of choice

    How to Prepare Mushroom Hummus Toast [Vegan]

    1. Heat your oil in a frying pan on medium. In the meantime, slice mushrooms thinly.
    2. Once the oil is hot, add the mushrooms and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
    3. Add in rosemary, thyme, and liquid aminos. Sauté for another 2-3 minutes, or until tender. Season with salt and pepper to taste then set aside.
    4. In the meantime, toast your bread and add a generous layer of hummus on top.
    5. Top hummus with mushrooms and garnish with microgreens or hot sauce. Serve immediately.
