- 8 ounces mission figs, stems removed
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon minced ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- dash of cayenne pepper
How to Prepare Fig Preserves [Vegan]
- Put all ingredients into a pot.
- Bring to a slow rolling boil for 15 minutes. The figs should be tender. Using a hand mixer or high speed blender, mix the ingredients together so that the figs are completely broken down. Enjoy!
