Ingredients You Need for Fig Preserves [Vegan]

  • 8 ounces mission figs, stems removed
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon minced ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • dash of cayenne pepper

How to Prepare Fig Preserves [Vegan]

  1. Put all ingredients into a pot.
  2. Bring to a slow rolling boil for 15 minutes. The figs should be tender. Using a hand mixer or high speed blender, mix the ingredients together so that the figs are completely broken down. Enjoy!
