In the bustling heart of New York City’s Lower East Side, a unique and exclusive dining experience awaits adventurous souls. The Füde Dinner Experience, described by the New York Times as “a naked vegan dinner party with a bunch of strangers,” is operated by artist and model Charlie Ann Max. For $88 per person, patrons can strip down and enjoy a liberating evening filled with plant-based cooking, art, nudity, and self-love.

Initially, these nude food nights were by invitation only, but due to growing interest, Max now reviews applications to participate in the full-frontal festivities. Most tasteful applicants are approved, with only a few exceptions, and the event has even expanded to include parties in Los Angeles.

Max’s inspiration for the Füde Dinner Experience came from her first experience stripping down with her Brooklyn roommates in 2014. She described the experience as feeling “so free,” which led her to create a space for others to celebrate their most pure selves.

The guests, ranging from early 20s to late 50s, usually arrive alone, dressed in various outfits from swanky dresses to simple sweatpants. They engage in small talk before shedding their clothes and diving into the evening’s activities. One recent NYC event had the theme of “Embracing Your Inner Rhythms: For Individuals to Connect with their Menstrual Cycles,” encouraging guests to connect with their bodies and each other in a unique way.

Stephanie Uribe, a 35-year-old guest, shared her thoughts on the event: “I think nudity allows us to connect differently. To strip away what the patriarchy has put on us. Like, uber-sexuality or hyper-sexuality.”
As for the food, Max and her assistant Maya prepared a mouth-watering vegan spread, including dishes such as carrot and ginger soup, quinoa-stuffed bell peppers, and cacao raspberry avocado mousse.

The Füde Dinner Experience challenges societal norms while promoting sustainability, self-love, and connection. As you consider your next dining adventure, why not seek unique experiences aligning with your values and pushing your boundaries? And remember, whether it’s a naked vegan dinner party or another eco-friendly event, your actions make a difference. So, always strive to be a positive force for change!
