Made-to-cook delivery meals, like the kind offered by Blue Apron, allow consumers to have freshly cooked gourmet cuisine in the comfort of their own kitchen. For health-conscious people with busy schedules, these services can be a dream come true. The meals provided are often fresh, organic, and nutritious, in addition to being restaurant quality.
Despite the high volume of farm-to-table fare, and multiple vegetarian-friendly options, delivery services have a rough time offering fully vegan meals. This could be due to the sheer volume of pre-made meals they produce each day. Of course, plenty of vegan meal delivery options do exist. Green Chef, Sun Basket, and Purple Carrot allow customers to experience the joy of freshly made gourmet meals in 30 minutes or less. Now, California-based healthy-meal delivery service Trifecta has announced they will add a familiar friend to the menu: The Beyond Burger.
For Trifecta, the partnership allows them to offer healthier options to their customers. Beyond Meat products contain no soy, gluten or GMOs, and Trifecta is adamant about their health-first approached to prepared meals. Their menus already cater to people on ketogenic, grain-free, and paleo diets, so adding a plant-based meat alternative makes a lot of sense.
As health food providers begin to accept plant-based food as the healthiest choice for our bodies, other nutritionists, and the food community in general, will continue to get the message.
Of course, you don’t need to wait for a meal delivery service to make delicious plant-based burgers! Check out these tasty offerings, courtesy of the Food Monster App!
