Fetch has always been a dog-dominated game. Goofy dogs with big tongues and tails just can’t resist sprinting after a green tennis ball, just to bring it back to the thrower to do it all over again.
However, they’re not the only ones smart enough to play a round a fetch. This YouTube video compilation by user mihaifrancu strings together a number of videos showing a variety of animals playing the game, including a mouse, a pig, a ferret, a fox, and even a bird.
Amazingly, all the animals successfully retrieve the objects during their game of fetch and look like they’re having a great time doing it, too. In one clip, the mouse shows off his quick retrieval skills, while the pig enjoys the game so much that his tail actually wags. The fox is also excited by the game, jumping up and around like a dog does (and as we’ve learned, a dog and a fox aren’t all that different in the first place).
These games of fetch will certainly put a smile on your face, and offer a good laugh. So go ahead and enjoy — just hit “play!”

That’s stereotyping! My dog doesn’t fetch…
My kitties love to play fetch!
