Cats in the wild will often make a meal of squirrels, but you’d never believe that from watching this video. Despite the precarious location and seemingly dangerous pairing, this cat and squirrel duo is having a great time.
According to YouTube user Hmeskens, who posted the original video, the owners of the orange tabby cat used to care for a baby squirrel who ran back to the wild once he became an adult. The squirrel still remembers his old home, and sometimes returns to play with his childhood cat friend. Who knew that squirrels were so smart?
It just goes to show that just about any animal pair can learn to get along and enjoy each other’s company in the right environment.
