Meet Walter: The Miniature Pinscher Who Got a Second Chance After Spending a Year in a Cage! [Video]

Walter the Miniature Pinscher was born with multiple deformities due to inbreeding. His irresponsible owners kept him in a cage for almost a year with barely any food or care. The severe neglect worsened his condition, causing his muscles to atrophy.

Thankfully, the owners got tired of Walter and took him to the Carson Animal Shelter in Gardena. If the owners never did anything else right, at least they gave Walter a real chance to find a loving home.

Walter was then rescued by Gabi Gutierrez and Joanna Krupa of Angels for Animal Rescue. At first, the pup was very weak, emaciated, and could barely walk. Now, at 11 months old, Walter is much better and has lots of energy, reminding us of the tremendous difference adoption can make in a dog’s life.
