But, what if the only catch was that in return for this fat check, you had to give up clean water, clean air, and non-toxic soil…you might think twice about that buy out.

This is the reality that’s facing thousands of families across the U.S. and Canada, who are being asked to lease their land to oil companies to make room for the Keystone XL Pipeline. Regardless on where you stand on the issue of natural gas, it is so important for us to take a step back and actually weigh the cost that installing this massive funnel (for lack of a better word) will have on the planet and our future livelihood.
