15-Year-Old’s Sustainable Swimwear Brand Makes Waves

At 15 years old, Sienna Dhariwal is not your typical high school sophomore. While she spends her days like any other teenager, her evenings are dedicated to her sustainable swimwear brand, Bikini Blend.

Sienna, an entrepreneur from Edina, Minnesota, first came up with the idea for her business during a youth entrepreneurship program. Turning her dream into reality last year, she founded Bikini Blend with the goal of empowering women and girls. “A huge thing of Bikini Blend is all bodies are bikini bodies,” says Sienna.

One of the core values of her company is sustainability. All Bikini Blend products are made from recycled materials, which not only helps reduce waste but also promotes an eco-friendly lifestyle. Sienna takes her commitment to the environment a step further by donating 5% of her profits to ocean Conservation charities.

Her father, Ashok Dhariwal, couldn’t be prouder. “To take it to the level that she’s at now, I think what we see is just the passion she has for the business,” he says.

As for the future, Sienna plans to expand her merchandise selection and hopes to offer plus-size swimwear. When asked about advice for other young entrepreneurs, she encourages them never to give up. “You learn from that, and you take it, and you keep going,” Sienna shares.
