Dee, the eight-month-old doberman puppy, certainly isn’t the first dog to say “I love you” to her owners, but she sure is one of the most convincing! She does such a good job, it’s almost spooky. Kudos to the owners for teaching her this difficult trick. From the sweet, dewey look in her eyes, it really seems like she means it too.
Of course, saying “I love you” is pretty darn cute, but it’s not as impressive as the ways our dogs show their love and devotion every day with their actions. And new research from Claremont Graduate University economics professor Paul Zak proves that dogs can feel love for those they’re close to just as deeply as humans do. We bet that Dee the doberman will show lots of different ways to say “I love you” to her owners, only one of which is through her words.
