YouTube poster Souljacker7 was a bit creeped out when someone — or something — kept opening the door and letting the cats into his room at night. The door was latched every time, but they always seemed to find their way in. Was someone breaking into the house?
Souljacker7 set up a camera to find out how his cats were always getting through the door. As it turns out (and this will be no surprise to many cat owners), one clever black cat figured out how to jump up and activate the latch to gain access. It looks like Souljacker7 will have to invest in a privacy chain or something more sophisticated if he wants his sleep to go interrupted.
Cats are pretty clever at jumping, turning knobs and pressing latches to get to where they want to go, and once they initially solve the puzzle they’ll have no problem getting through in the future. To keep your pet (and outdoor birds and rodents) safe, make sure you have cat-proof locks on all your exterior doors!
